- Product testing and certification at component and system level in the lab or in the field
- Conducting on-site EMI field surveys or safety field assessments
- Environmental simulation: Weathering effects, aging, vibration, sun and reliability test
- Consulting and debugging
EMC Standards for Railway Components
We have experience with a wide variety of standards and regulations. Some of the more common standards for rail applications we can help you with include:
- Federal Regulations Act (CFR) Title 47 Part 15
- CFR Heading 49 -Transport; Section 234 and 236-Signal and Train Control Systems
- MIL-STD-461F Control of Electromagnetic Interference Characteristics of Subsystems and Equipment For need
- IEC 62236 Railway Applications - Electromagnetic Compatibility
- IEC 61000 1 2 Electromagnetic Compatibility; Part 1-2: General
- EN 50121 Railway Applications - Electromagnetic compatibility
- EN 50238 Railway Applications - Railway Tools Compatibility between and Train Detection Systems
- EN 55011 - Industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) radio frequency devices - Electromagnetic disturbance characteristics - Limits and methods of measurement
- EN 55022 - Information Technology Equipment - Radio interference characteristics - Limits and methods of measurement
- EN 50121-1 General
- EN 50121-2 The emission of the entire railway system to the outside world
- EN 50121-3-1 Railway vehicles - Train and complete vehicle
- EN 50121-3-2 Railways mediator - Apparatus
- EN 50121-4 Emission and immunity of signaling and telecommunications equipment
- EN 50121-5 Emission and immunity of fixed power supply installations and devices
Our EMC Test Capabilities
Our customers can choose from suitable 10, 5 or 3 meter anechoic and semi-anechoic labs. We can place small signal equipment on all locomotives. Our capabilities enable us to test at the highest levels required by EN50121 standards.
When products are too physically large to be evaluated in a test room, we can test them in place. Our mobile team with dedicated field equipment can test it at your location - indoors or outdoors.
