Determination of Ammonium / Ammonium Nitrogen (SM 4500-NH3 B Method)

Within the scope of the National Environmental Methods Index (NEMI), the SM 4500-NH3 B method, which includes a test method for the determination of ammonium / ammonium nitrogen, has been developed.

Amonyum / Amonyum Azotu Tayini (SM 4500-NH3 B Yöntemi)

The two main factors affecting the selection of the method to be used to determine ammonia are the concentration and the presence of interferences. In general, direct manual determination of low ammonia concentrations is limited to drinking water, clean surface or groundwater, and quality nitrified wastewater. In other cases, and where interferences are present or higher precision is required, a pre-distillation step is required.

For more than a century, nesslerization as a classical water quality measurement has been accepted as a standard method. This method is for detecting the presence of ammonia in a solution. The distillation and titration method is especially used for ammonia nitrogen concentrations greater than 5 mg/L. The ammonia selective electrode method can be applied in the range of 0,03-1400 mg/L ammonia nitrogen. The manual phenate method can be applied to both fresh and sea water. The automatic phenate method, on the other hand, uses u in the range of 0,02-2,0 mg/L ammonia nitrogen.applicable.

In the tests and analyzes carried out in our organization, which has a wide range of technological equipment, trained and experienced staff and applies the most modern methods, national and international standards and legal regulations in force are complied with. Among the numerous tests carried out in this context, there are also ammonium / ammonium nitrogen determination (SM 4500-NH3 B method) services.
