Textile Testing

Textile Testing

Textile tests have a very important function in measuring product quality, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and evaluating the performance of textile materials.

Textile Testing

In this way, information is obtained about the physical or structural properties and performance properties of textile products. Today, as consumers become more conscious and demanding towards products, the variety and number of tests required for textile products are also increasing.

Some of the textile tests are physical tests in which a textile product is closely examined for sensation and appearance. Such tests are done on individual fibers or yarns. Textiles are also exposed to light and other elements to see how they react. These tests are carried out on special devices that determine the resistance of products to weather conditions and light.

Mechanical tests applied to textile products are generally performed by exposing textile products to different pressures and tensions in special test machines. For example, tear strength tests are done to determine if fabrics are strong enough to maintain their integrity even under great stress. Abrasion tests are done to determine how quickly a textile product wears out with friction.

Chemical tests are performed to determine the content of a textile product (eg lead or heavy metals). Flammability tests are applied to determine the flammability of a product or how quickly it burns.

In the test, analysis, measurement and evaluation studies carried out in our organization, national and international standards and applicable legal regulations are complied with and reliable and impartial results are obtained. Textile testing services are among the numerous tests carried out in this context.
