(EC) No. 1015/2010 Regulation Tests

European Parliament and Council Regulation (EC) No. 1015/2010, published by the Ministry of Health, is intended for the implementation of Directive 2009/125/EC on eco-design requirements for household washing machines.

(EC) No. 1015/2010 Regulation Tests

In this legal regulation, eco-design requirements are explained for the placing on the market of mains powered domestic washing machines, including those sold for non-domestic use and built-in washing machines, as well as mains powered domestic washing machines that can also be battery operated. This regulation does not apply to household combination tumble dryers.

For the purposes of this legal regulation,

  • A household washing machine refers to an automatic washing machine that cleans and rinses textiles using water, also has a spin eject function and is primarily intended for use for non-professional purposes.
  • A built-in household washing machine refers to a household washing machine that is intended to be installed in a closet, a prepared recess in a wall, or similar location and that requires furniture polish.
  • Automatic washing machine refers to a washing machine in which the load is completely handled by the machine without the need for user intervention at any point in the program.
  • A household combined washer-dryer refers to a household washing machine that includes both a spin-out function and a means for drying textiles, usually by heating and tumble drying.
  • The rated capacity refers to the maximum load that the household washing machine can operate under a certain program and defined by the company that produces certain types of dry textile products in the range of 0,5 kg.

Within the scope of the directive 2009/125/EC, the eco-design requirements for energy-related products, which represent a significant amount of sales and trade, have significant environmental impact and offer a significant improvement potential in terms of environmental impacts without incurring excessive costs, are determined by the European Parliament and the Council.
