ATEX and IECEx Certificates

ATEX and IECEx Certificates

EUROLABWithin the scope of ATEX and IECEx Certificates, it provides testing, certification and product inspection services in accordance with the ATEX Directive and IECEx scheme.

ATEX and IECEx Certificates

Our laboratory evaluates the conformity of your products and provides the necessary reports and certificates to mark your EX, CE Mark and ATEX products. EUROLABprovides testing, certification and product inspection services within the scope of the ATEX Directive and the IECEx Certified Equipment Programme. We carry out expert assessment of the conformity of your products to help you ensure compliance and explosion protection against the requirements required to obtain the Distinctive Community Mark (Ex in hexagon), CE Mark and approval for other international markets.

In addition to ATEX and IECEx certifications, we also provide hazardous location certification for the USA and Canada. EUROLABis one of the very few Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL) and CBs in both the US and Canada that are accredited to certify products intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. EUROLABcan conduct research in accordance with the current EN standards simultaneously with the US and Canada certification project.

ATEX Certification

All EU countries require CE and ATEX marks on products used in hazardous locations. The use of harmonized EN standards gives the manufacturer a basis for “assumption of conformity” for “Essential Health and Safety Requirements (EHSRs)” and a declaration of conformity (DoC) for the ATEX Directive.

EUROLABprovides seamless testing, certification and product inspection services through an innovative Harmonized International Ex Test Program under the ATEX Directive. The program aligns testing processes, engineering skill sets and management to ensure a consistent approach in securing all approvals accepted for the potentially explosive. atmosphere and dangerous places. The program also significantly shortens the certification process, granting approvals in weeks instead of months.

EUROLABoffers certification services to the following EU ATEX standards:

  • EN 60079-0 Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres Part 0: General Requirements
  • EN 60079-1 Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres Part 1: Flameproof Enclosures "d"
  • EN 60079-2 Electrical Devices for Explosive Gas Atmospheres Part 2: Pressurized Enclosures "p" -Second Edition
  • EN 60079-7 Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres Part 7: Increased Safety "e" -First Edition
  • EN 60079-11 Electrical Appliance for Explosive Gas Atmospheres Part 11: Internal Safety "i"
  • EN 60079-15 Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres Part 15: "n" Protected Electrical Equipment
  • EN 60079-28 Explosive Atmospheres. Protection of Equipment and Transmission Systems Using Optical Radiation
  • EN 60079-31 Explosive Atmospheres. Dust Ignition Protection with Equipment Enclosure "t"

IECEx Certificate

The IECEx Scheme is the CB scheme for electrical equipment used in explosive atmospheres (hazardous places). EUROLABhas an Explosive Atmosphere Testing Laboratory (ExTL). It performs local IECEx testing (a rarity among US-based labs), significantly reducing the certification process and issuing approvals in weeks rather than months.

EUROLABoffers testing and certification services to the following IECEx standards:

  • IEC 60079-0 Part 0: Equipment General requirements
  • IEC 60079-1 Part 1: Equipment protection with flameproof enclosures 'd'
  • IEC 60079-2 Part 2: Equipment protection with pressurized enclosures 'p'
  • IEC 60079-7 Part 7: Equipment protection with increased safety 'e'
  • IEC 60079-11 Part 11: Equipment protection with intrinsically safe 'i'
  • IEC 60079-15 Part 15: Construction, testing and marking of protection type "n" electrical devices
  • IEC 60079-18 Part 18: Construction, testing and marking of protection encapsulation type 'm' electrical equipment
  • IEC 60079-26 Part 26: Equipment with equipment protection level (EPL) Ga
  • IEC 60079-31 Part 31: Equipment dust ignition protection with "t" enclosure
  • IEC 61241-0 Part 0: General requirements
  • IEC 61241-1 Part 1: Protection with 'tD' enclosures
  • IEC 61241-4 Part 4: 'pD' protection type
  • IEC 61241-11 Part 11: Protection with intrinsically safe 'iD'
  • IEC 61241-18 Part 18: Protection 'mD' by encapsulation

EUROLAB, with its highly expert team and internationally accredited laboratories, ATEX and IECEx Certificates It performs all test, analysis, measurement, evaluation and report generation services completely and reliably.
