This type of radio equipment is for operation in the GSM 900 or GSM 1800 frequency bands, with 200 kHz channel separation, as shown in the table within the standard, within a digital cellular telecommunications system using fixed envelope modulation and carrying traffic channels according to the time division multiple access principle.
This standard covers the basic requirements of article 2014 of the radio equipment directive (RED) 53/3.2/EU under the conditions specified in the annex to the standard. General access requirements applied to terminal equipment are for one version only. This standard does not cover GPRS Class A mobile phones.
Some requirements apply only to certain types of mobile stations. For example, data tests are valid only for mobile stations with data facility, tests are valid for GSM 900 only or GSM 1800 only or both. This standard specifies the specific testing that must be performed for each type of mobile station.
An active accessory is covered by this standard if it modifies terminal performance in an aspect that affects compliance with essential requirements. Only active devices are subject to the current standard. Accessories can be tested with specific terminals and, depending on the nature and potency of the accessory, approved for use with those terminals only, or possibly approved for use with a wider range of terminals.
In short, this standard contains all the requirements for terminals to meet the basic requirement defined in article 2014 of the radio equipment directive (RED) 53/3.2/EU.
Our organization, among the numerous test, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies it has given for businesses in various sectors, with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment, within the scope of ETSI EN 301 511 standard, global system for mobile communication (GSM), mobile stations (MS) It also provides testing services required by the harmonized standard, which covers the basic requirements of article 2014 of the 53/3.2/EU directive.
