Radiographic Tests

EUROLABperforms visual inspection using Radiographic Testing (RT) with a line inspection robot to support asset integrity of gas and liquid pipelines by detecting and measuring internal and external welding, damages, internal corrosion and various other abnormalities.

Radiographic Tests

Your advantages from radiographic tests

  • Radiographic testing of materials using mobile robots
  • Combination of 360 ° visual inspection with radiographic inspection with a single instrument
  • Visual evaluation can be done immediately and after the radiography film has been developed
  • Product quality can be assessed using a combination of two separate test methods (VT and RT) and a more complete data set.
  • Current visual data can be saved and compared to previous inspections
  • Easier to track fault progress and product status
  • Examination of 350mm - 500mm diameter pipelines with a maximum range of 70m
  • Rover is equipped with a meter to accurately measure the depth reached
  • Rover is integrated with a rear camera for better orientation
  • The equipment is also equipped with an inclinometer
  • Camera is protected against radiation and equipped with LED lights for dark spots
  • Provides highly accurate error coordinate measurements
Higher safety for operators as the radiation source will be operated remotely

About Radiographic Testing

Mechanized radiographic testing (RT) is an advanced method for detecting material defects using gamma rays. Radiographic testing is a volume testing method similar to ultrasonic testing in which many types of manufactured components can be examined to verify the internal structure and integrity of the sample. EUROLABperforms radiographic testing of materials using mobile robots to detect defects in welds and the parent material of potentially hazardous equipment, structures and pipelines.

Examples of defects that can be detected include cracks, slag, pores and porosity, inclusions, and lack of fusion. Our experts provide highly accurate fault coordinates, length and orientation height (depth). EUROLABhas a variety of Isotope sources and x-ray machines, including:

  • Se75 isotope for 5 to 20 mm steel

EUROLAB's radiographic testing experts are certified to ISO 9712 and we meet the following testing standards: GOST 7512-82, ISO 17636-1: 2013, LISO 17636-2: 2013, PNAE G-7-017-89.

EUROLAB, with its highly expert team and internationally accredited laboratories, Radiographic Tests It performs all test, analysis, measurement, evaluation and report generation services completely and reliably.
