The expression bactericidal, which is used to control microorganisms, expresses the state of having a lethal effect on bacteria. As such, fungicidal activity refers to substances that kill pathogenic and non-pathogenic fungi, while virucidal activity refers to the process of killing viruses. In practice, many methods are used to kill or destroy microorganisms.

There are actually many valid reasons for eliminating microorganisms. Killing microorganisms that cause disease in humans, animals, and plants is necessary to prevent infections and their spread. On the other hand, eliminating microorganisms is necessary to prevent spoilage of food, preserves, and clothing, to disinfect culture media, to prevent contamination of materials and equipment used for various purposes, or to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
Disinfectants are chemicals used to kill microorganisms on surfaces or to remove them from the environment. There are also chemical agents used as a preservative against microbial contamination by being added to drugs, cosmetics and other products. Chemical substances with antiseptic, disinfectant and or protective activity are defined as biocides.
Chemical antibacterials are widely used to control microbial growth. But concerns about health risks are also growing. They are alternative, non-toxic antibacterial agents to prevent the development of pathogens in foods or on food contact surfaces.
In the test, analysis, measurement and evaluation studies carried out in our organization, national and international standards and applicable legal regulations are complied with and reliable and impartial results are obtained. Among the numerous tests carried out in this context, there are also bactericidal activity testing services.
