Bactericidal means killing bacteria. The actual categories of antimicrobial agents are:

Agents, which are generally called bactericidal, do not kill every organism within 18-24 hours after the test, some kill some bacteria. 18-24 hours after the test, 90-99% of the disease-causing bacteria die.
Standards used to prove bactericidal efficacy require in vitro tests. One of these is the European standard EN 13727. In our country, this standard has been published by the Turkish Standards Institute under the title: TS EN 13727+A2 Chemical disinfectants and antiseptics - Quantitative suspension test - For evaluation of bactericidal efficacy in the medical field - Test method and requirements (step 2, step 1).
Test organisms used in bactericidal activity tests include Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Escherichia coli.
One of the most important issues to be considered in terms of human health is the killing of pathogenic factors or preventing their reproduction. However, this alone is not enough. In addition to the treatment applied to the patients, a good disinfection, vaccination and other sanitation measures should be used together.
In the test, analysis, measurement and evaluation studies carried out in our organization, national and international standards and applicable legal regulations are complied with and reliable and impartial results are obtained. Among the numerous tests performed in this context, there are also services for the evaluation of bactericidal activity.
