Plant Specific Canola Gene Screening

Plant Specific Canola Gene Screening

A rapid method has been developed for simultaneous screening of transgenic elements in genetically modified canola. This validated method uses a single multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) coupled with a DNA sequence that can detect 12 genetically modified canola lines simultaneously. This method has practically been found effective for the detection of genetically modified canola in various animal feeds as well as in commercial rapeseed meal.

Plant Specific Canola Gene Screening

The development and commercialization of a transgenic product depends on performing assays sensitive and reliable enough to detect the presence of low-level transgenic material in mixed seed or a commercial product. An appropriate species-specific endogenous control is also required for accurate quantification.

Genetically modified plant species that provide herbicide tolerance and insect resistance, as well as other desirable agronomic and nutritionally enhanced traits, are rapidly being adopted in agricultural practice. The glyphosate resistance trait is increasingly spreading in canola as well as maize, soybean and other plant species. Glyphosate tolerance remains a desirable trait, especially with tolerance to herbicides with a different mode of action, although weeds occasionally develop resistance. There chord.

In the test, analysis, measurement and evaluation studies carried out in our organization, national and international standards and applicable legal regulations are complied with and reliable and impartial results are obtained. These studies are based on the latest technological equipment, trained and experienced staff and modern methods. Among the numerous tests performed in this context, there are also plant-specific canola gene screening services.
