DAS-59122 corn type determination and quantity analysis method developed by Dow AgroSciences (DAS) is a method applied in corn production with the aim of gaining resistance to certain proteins, certain pests including corn rootworm and glufosinate. This method provides DNA compositions for transgenic insect-resistant maize plants. It is an assay method to detect the presence of maize DAS-59122-7 activity based on DNA sequences of the recombinant construct inserted into the maize genome.

In our country, genetically modified DAS-59122 corn species were evaluated by the Biosafety Board and it was concluded that this variety is similar to non-genetically modified varieties in terms of nutritional content, animal trials and agricultural characteristics. At the same time, the DAS 59122 maize variety was considered to be similar in toxicity and allergenicity to its non-genetically modified equivalent.
Within the framework of environmental risk assessment , the Biosafety Board evaluated the genetically modified DAS-59122 maize variety in terms of its potential for dispersal due to genetic modification, gene escape from plant to plant, and gene escape from plant to bacteria, and concluded that the probability of an environmental impact different from that of conventional varieties is very low.
In the test, analysis, measurement and evaluation studies carried out in our organization, national and international standards and applicable legal regulations are complied with and reliable and impartial results are obtained. These studies are based on the latest technological equipment, trained and experienced staff and modern methods. DAS-59122 corn type determination and quantity analysis services are among the numerous tests carried out in this context.
