In the ISO 16000-9 standard developed by the International Standards Organization (ISO), a test method is defined for determining the area-specific emission rate of volatile organic compounds (VOC) from newly produced building products or flooring under defined climatic conditions. This test method is also, in principle, applied to obsolete products. The resulting emission data can be used to calculate concentrations in a model room.

This standard is valid for various emission test chambers used to determine the emission of volatile organic compounds from construction products.
This standard also applies to wood-based panels and other building products to determine the formaldehyde emission rate.
In connection with standard sampling, storage of samples and preparation of test samples, volatile organic compounds emitted from construction products using emission test chambers are determined mainly for the following purposes:
This test method is in principle applied to a large number of building products used indoors.
For the determination of formaldehyde emissions from wood-based panels, a European standard EN 717-1 is also applied. However, the ISO 16000-9 standard is valid to determine the formaldehyde emission rate. The measurement procedure for formaldehyde is described in the ISO 16000-3 standard.
For the purposes of this standard,
Among the numerous test, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies it has given for businesses in various sectors, our organization, with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment, aims to determine the emission of volatile organic compounds in indoor air from building products and flooring within the scope of ISO 16000-9 standard. The test room method also provides testing services.
