Developed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), EPA Method 3051A describes a test method for the determination of arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), and lead (Pb): EPA Method 3051A: Microwave-assisted acid digestion of sediments, sludges, and oils.

This microwave extraction method is designed to mimic extraction using conventional heating with nitric acid or alternatively nitric acid and hydrochloric acid. Extracted analyte concentrations of the sample may not reflect the total content in the sample. For which elements this method is applicable for microwave assisted acid extraction or dissolution of sediments, sludges, soils and oils are listed in the standard.
This method is an alternative to the EPA 200.2 and 3050 methods. Provides options for improving the performance of certain analytes such as antimony, iron, aluminum and silver by adding hydrochloric acid as needed.
Materials and site cleanup levels require rapid multi-element acid extraction or dissolution prior to analysis so that decisions can be made about whether a waste provides acceptable performance .
In the tests and analyzes carried out in our organization, which has a wide range of technological equipment, trained and experienced staff and applies the most modern methods, national and international standards and legal regulations in force are complied with. Among the numerous tests performed in this context, there are also arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), lead (Pb) determination (EPA 3051 A method) services.
