Searching Vibrio spp Vibrio parahaemolyticus and Vibrio cholerae

Vibrio bacteria species are the most common type of bacteria found in surface waters worldwide. Vibrio spp . are comma-shaped, gram-negative bacteria with flagella at one end. Some species enter the human body through food and cause various diseases.

Searching Vibrio spp Vibrio parahaemolyticus and Vibrio cholerae

Vibrio parahaemolyticus , a species of Vibrio bacteria , is a marine pathogenic microorganism. It is a type of bacteria found in rivers and coastal estuaries and is rarely found in the open sea. Vibrio parahaemolyticus can multiply rapidly on seafood, causing food poisoning.

Vibrio parahaemolyticus can survive in frozen foods, and if thawed foods are not stored under hygienic conditions, this bacteria can multiply again and cause contamination. Particularly in the international transportation of seafood, situations such as thawing and refreezing can easily allow Vibrio parahaemolyticus to multiply, posing a threat to human health.

Another type of Vibrio bacteria that causes disease is Vibrio cholerae . Vibrio cholerae is sensitive to heat treatment, drying processes, and acids. However, it is a cold-resistant type of bacteria. Vibrio cholerae can maintain their viability for a long time in milk, sterile water, and food, especially in an acid-free environment at room temperature.

Vibrio cholerae causes cholera, a disease of the small intestine characterized by diarrhea, vomiting, and significant fluid and electrolyte loss. Because they can easily multiply in alkaline and isotonic environments , Vibrio cholerae can rapidly reproduce in the stomach and small intestine. They produce choleragenic toxins that are heat-resistant and exhibit antigenic and cytopanic properties.

Vibrio spp., Which have different species causing different diseases. bacteria, especially in water and fishery products, and then delivered to the consumer.
