Sea Water Tests

Sea Water Tests

Seawater quality is one of the vital elements of thriving and healthy marine life. It also affects human health directly or indirectly. The four components generally tested in seawater are: fecal coliform bacteria, salinity, phosphates (P) and nitrates (N).

Sea Water Tests

Seawater tests are carried out in advanced laboratories in order that sea water standards and nutrient levels do not adversely affect the development of sea creatures, fecal coliform level does not affect human health, and seawater is safe. These tests also take into account the legal regulations in force.

Both acceptable nitrate and phosphate levels that will not cause excessive algae growth and acceptable fecal coliform bacteria level are included in the relevant standards.

On the other hand, in order to prevent exposure to pollutants that may be in swimming water for the protection of human and public health, sea water quality is followed by physical and microbiological tests by official institutions. In this context, water samples are taken and tested at frequent intervals, especially during the summer months. Test results are an important indicator for detecting pollution, assessing the level of risk people are exposed to and determining the measures to be taken.

In the test, analysis, measurement and evaluation studies carried out in our organization, national and international standards and applicable legal regulations are complied with and reliable and impartial results are obtained. Seawater testing services are among the numerous tests carried out in this context.
