Salmonella Spp. Detection (TS EN ISO 19250)

Salmonella Spp. Detection (TS EN ISO 19250)

The ISO 19250 standard, published by the International Standards Organization (ISO), includes a test method for detecting salmonella species in hypothetical or verified water samples. It is possible that other media will be needed for epidemiological purposes or during epidemic research.

Salmonella Spp. Detection (TS EN ISO 19250)

In our country, this standard has also been published by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) under the title: TS EN ISO 19250 Water quality - Determination of Salmonella spp.

It is possible that the method in question does not cover all salmonella series.

In the application of the method, hypothetical salmonella spp. refers to bacteria that grow in the specified selective enrichment medium and form typical or atypical colonies on solid selective media. Confirmed salmonella spp. refers to bacteria that grow in the specified selective enrichment medium, form typical and suspected colonies on solid selective media, and exhibit specific biochemical and serological characteristics. Salmonella, on the other hand, refers to microorganisms that form typical or atypical colonies on solid selective media and exhibit specific biochemical and serological characteristics.

Specific biochemical and serological properties are determined by the tests described in this international standard.

In the test, analysis, measurement and evaluation studies carried out in our organization, national and international standards and applicable legal regulations are complied with and reliable and impartial results are obtained. These studies are based on the latest technological equipment, trained and experienced staff and modern methods. Among the numerous tests carried out in this context, salmonella spp. detection (TS EN ISO 19250) services are also available.
