A European standard, EN 27888, describes a test method for determining the conductivity level of water. This standard specifies a method for the measurement of all water types. The resulting value is used to monitor the quality of surface waters, process waters and wastewater in water supply and treatment plants.

In our country, this standard has been published by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) with the following title: TS 9748 EN 27888/T1 Water quality - Electrical conductivity determination.
This standard provides a method for measuring the electrical conductivity of all water types. The electrical conductivity can be used to monitor the product quality of surface waters, process waters and wastewater in water supply and treatment plants.
The completeness of the analysis for ionic components can be checked using this method. In some cases absolute values are important, in other cases there are only relative variations.
Electrical conductivity is the reciprocal of the resistance measured under specified conditions between opposite faces of a unit cube with defined dimensions of an aqueous solution. For water quality inspection, this is usually expressed as electrical conductivity and is used as a measure of the concentration of ionizable solutes present in the sample.
In the test, analysis, measurement and evaluation studies carried out in our organization, national and international standards and applicable legal regulations are complied with and reliable and impartial results are obtained. These studies are based on the latest technological equipment, trained and experienced staff and modern methods. Conductivity determination (TS 9748 EN 27888) services are among the numerous tests performed in this context.
