Within the scope of the National Environmental Methods Index (NEMI), which creates a database containing environmental methods, protocols, statistical and analytical methods and procedures and develops standard methods, the SM 4500-FD method, which includes a test method for fluoride determination in water, has been developed.

Fluoride is a naturally occurring chemical compound in water. Or it can then be added to the water in controlled amounts. Some fluorosis may occur when the fluoride level exceeds the recommended limits. Fluorine is a toxic substance. Consuming large amounts of fluorinated substances at one time may result in death in the organism. Fluorosis is a condition caused by too much fluoride intake. This condition damages the body's bones and sometimes tooth enamel. This damage is often permanent.
In rare cases, the naturally occurring fluoride concentration in the body may approach 10 mg/L.
With the increase of fluoride application to water resources in order to protect public health, it has become an important situation to determine the amount of fluoride used correctly. An optimal fluoride concentration must be maintained to maintain the efficacy and safety of the fluoridation procedure.
In the tests and analyzes carried out in our organization, which has a wide range of technological equipment, trained and experienced staff and applies the most modern methods, national and international standards and legal regulations in force are complied with. Among the numerous tests performed in this context, there are also services for the determination of fluoride in water (SM 4500-FD method).
