Water Quality (TS EN ISO 17294)

Water Quality (TS EN ISO 17294)

In the ISO 17294 standard published by the International Standards Organization (ISO), inductive dual plasma mass spectrometry application for determining the quality of water is presented. This standard has also been published in our country by TSE with the following titles:

Water Quality (TS EN ISO 17294)

  • TS EN ISO 17294-1 Water quality - Application of inductive dual plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) - Part 1: General guide
  • TS EN ISO 17294-2 Water quality - Application of inductive double plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) - Part 2: Determination of selected elements including uranium isotopes

The ISO 17294-1 standard describes the principles of inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry and provides general instructions for using this technique for the determination of elements in water. Generally, the measurement is made in water, but gases, vapors or fine particulate matter may also be included.

The ISO 17294-2 standard states that aluminum, antimony, arsenic, barium, bismuth, boron, cadmium, calcium, chromium, cobalt, copper, phosphorus, potassium, silver, sodium, tin, uranium and many other elements in water, for example, drinking water Specifies a method for the determination of surface water, groundwater, wastewater, and eluates.

In the tests and analyzes carried out in our organization, which has a wide range of technological equipment, trained and experienced staff and applies the most modern methods, national and international standards and legal regulations in force are complied with. Water quality (TS EN ISO 17294) services are among the numerous tests carried out in this context.
