Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) is an organic compound widely used as a plasticizer due to its low toxicity and wide liquid range. Some countries have limited the manufacture, sale or distribution of children's toys and child care products containing dibutyl phthalate to a maximum of 0,1 percent.
