Clinical efficacy tests are conducted to evaluate the safety and efficacy of cosmetic products and to verify product claims through use tests or clinical efficacy tests.

For personal care products EUROLAB Clinical testing is conducted under best scientific practices and regulatory compliance. Our volunteers

• A wide variety of specific features (eg sensitive skin, comedones, oily skin, normal skin, dry skin, normal eyes, contact lens wearers, etc.), consisting of over 18 volunteers, male or female, aged 65 to 1000 years.
• Skin type diversity facilitates any cosmetic efficacy testing and ensures product claims are verified.
• You can also customize your test panel according to your needs.
• Individuals without signs of pathological skin conditions are selected to participate. Volunteers are instructed not to use other / similar products on the test site.

Tests in Use

We conduct clinical efficacy trials to support the clinical safety and efficacy of cosmetics, personal care and beauty products. In-use studies are carried out according to product instructions regarding application and duration of use. In-use studies are designed according to product specifications and manufacturer's requirements.

Ophthalmological Claims

After a 14-day application period, we evaluate the ophthalmological and palpebral tolerances of cosmetic products. We conduct a product use test under the supervision of a qualified ophthalmologist.

If the results are satisfactory, a "ophthalmologically tested" claim may be written on the label.

Humidity Tests

We evaluate the hydration capacity of cosmetic products in a selected volunteer panel.

Under the supervision of our dermatologists:

• We make instrumental moisture measurements and use sensory methods.
• We interpret all measurements statistically.

We do all kinds of tests:

• 2 hours moisture (Moisture Meter SC or Corneometer® CM 825)
• 1 week moisture (Moisture Meter SC or Corneometer® CM)
• Special moisture tests for instant and long-term demands

Tests Against Wrinkles

We evaluate the effect of cosmetic products on wrinkles with the VISIA Skin Analysis System.

Under the supervision of our dermatologists:

• We make instrumental wrinkle and fine line depth measurements.
• We interpret all measurements statistically.
• We make a clinical evaluation.
• We take before and after photos.
• We provide automatic evaluation reports (usage test, questionnaires) compiled by the selected panel of volunteers.

Elasticity-Skin Tissue Tests

Using ElastiMeter, we evaluate the elasticity effect of cosmetic products on the skin.

Under the supervision of our dermatologists:

• We make instrumental elasticity measurements and use sensory methods.
• We interpret all measurements statistically.
• We make a clinical evaluation.
• We provide automatic evaluation reports (usage test, questionnaires) compiled by the selected panel of volunteers.

Skin Whitening Tests

We evaluate the skin color with the VISIA Skin Analysis System.

Noncomedogenic Tests

We provide evidence of the comediolytic effect and non-comedogenic effect of cosmetic products using Sebumeter® or Sebutape®.

Under the supervision of our dermatologists:

• We evaluate products according to a rating scale.
• We use standard digital imaging and image comparison software.
• We interpret all measurements statistically.
• We take before and after photos.

Anti Sebum and Sebum Control Test

We evaluate the effect of cosmetic products on the level of sebum secretion.

Under the supervision of our dermatologists:

• We make instrumental sebum measurements and use sensory methods.
• We statistically interpret all sebum measurements.

We perform two types of tests:

• Sebum test in use (Sebumeter® SM 815)
• Desquamation test (Corneofix® F 20)

Anti Dandruff Test

We evaluate the anti-dandruff effect of cosmetic products using anti-dandruff desquamation (Corneofix® F 20).

Under the supervision of our dermatologists:

• We make a clinical evaluation.
• We take before and after dermatoscopy images.
• We provide automatic evaluation reports (usage test, questionnaires) compiled by the selected panel of volunteers.

Redness-Porphyrins

We evaluate the Redness and Porphyrin reduction properties of cosmetic products on the face with the VISIA Skin Analysis System.

Under the supervision of our dermatologists:

• We interpret all measurements statistically.
• We make a clinical evaluation.

Pores-UV-Brown Spots

We evaluate the pores, UV and Brown spots measurements of cosmetic products on the face with the VISIA Complex Analysis System.

Under the supervision of our dermatologists:

• We interpret all measurements statistically.
• We make a clinical evaluation.

Depilation-Epilation Tests

We evaluate the effectiveness of hair removal wax and measure hair growth using a dermatoscope.

Hair Test

For hair products, we offer Combing Strength and Resistance to Combing Test. Measure the ease of hair combing provided by hair products such as conditioners and shampoos.
