Developed by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the SAE ARP 5918 standard provides the recommended minimum test stand setup and procedures for inspecting and testing aircraft refueling devices. This inspection and test procedure is used to evaluate and ensure the proper operation and performance of an aircraft refueling device:

These procedures are used to test new aircraft refueling devices. This standard is used to conduct routine tests to verify that aircraft refueling devices comply with the lowest performance criteria in this standard. This standard covers all aircraft refueling devices, either stationary such as cabin-type units or mobile such as hydrant service vehicles, tankers and the like. Aircraft refueling vehicle design and operation requirements are contained in other SAE ARP standards. Although this standard is used as a guideline, it also covers aircraft refueling devices with operating pressures above 150 psi.
Aircraft refueling devices are a tank vehicle used at airports to carry fuel to an aircraft for refueling. The main feature of the vehicle is a large tank in which fuel is pumped directly into the aircraft through an aircraft refueling nozzle. Some major airports use hydrant refueling devices to fuel planes. These hydrant vehicles themselves do not carry fuel. Instead, it provides a refueling link between the aircraft and an underground fuel supply.
The key idea behind aircraft refueling devices is efficiency. High flow rates and safe spill-free operation are essential. The SAE ARP 5918 standard is for ensuring the reliability, effectiveness and safety of fuel systems.
Among the numerous test, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies it provides for businesses in various sectors, our organization also provides testing services within the framework of standard test criteria for aircraft refueling devices within the scope of SAE ARP 5918 standard, with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment.
