Regarding lightning testing, EUROLABexpertly delivers testing in accordance with RTCA/DO-160 Part 22 and up to Level V to verify the ability of airborne equipment to withstand the effects of lightning.
There are two test types: Pin Injection and Harness. The standard covers 3 test methods: Direct, Cable Induction and Ground Injection. Testing is performed at test levels and waveforms in accordance with the expected use of EUT and aircraft setup.
The waveform selection is determined by the airframe in which the EUT is mounted, i.e. all metal, all-composite material, or a combination of the two. Environments with a composite body will be exposed to high structural voltages and lightning currents. The level of protection against exposure during a lightning event is the determining factor in the choice of test level.
EUROLAB The reports strictly comply with the prescribed format:
It is important to note that parts or all of DO-160 Part 22 will be included in the next revision (Rev G) of MIL-STD-461. Lightning testing will also be required for MIL-STD-464.
EUROLAB It offers a single facility solution for all EMC tests as well as lightning tests. It also features a portable lightning testing system that can accommodate most equipment categories for Part 22 Lightning Transient Susceptibility.
EUROLAB, with its highly expert team and internationally accredited laboratories, Lightning Test It performs all test, analysis, measurement, evaluation and report generation services completely and reliably.
