The ISO 10390 standard published by the International Standards Organization (ISO) provides test methods for determining the pH value in soil, treated biowaste and sewage sludge. According to this standard, using a glass electrode in soil suspension, the pH value is determined by the following methods:

The ISO 10390 standard is applicable to all types of soil samples that have been pre-treated and air-dried according to standards such as ISO 11464, EN 16179, or EN 15002.
This standard has also been published by TSE in our country with the following title: TS ISO 10390 Soil, treated biowaste and sludge - pH determination.
This standard also applies to all types of air-dried soil and processed biowaste samples.
The pH of the medium has a great influence on the microbial growth rate. The pH value affects the function of metabolic enzymes. Acidic conditions (low pH value) or basic conditions (high pH value) change the enzyme's structure and stop its growth.
In the test, analysis, measurement and evaluation studies carried out in our organization, national and international standards and applicable legal regulations are complied with and reliable and impartial results are obtained. These studies are based on the latest technological equipment, trained and experienced staff and modern methods. Among the numerous tests carried out in this context, there are also treatment sludge pH determination (TS ISO 10390) services.
