EN 840-4, a European standard, describes the dimensions and design requirements of 1700-wheel mobile waste and recycling containers with flat lids and capacities up to 4 L for use by the wide trunnion or BG and/or wide comb lifter.

For the purposes of this standard, the term mobile waste and recycling container refers to suitably designed containers fitted with wheels, intended for the temporary storage of waste. The lifting device is the structure that picks up, tilts, and empties the containers. The comb lifting device is the lifting device in which the collection system consists of a row of teeth and a locking system to hold the container during emptying. The trunnion lifting device is the lifting device in which the collection system consists of a pair of arms with an automatic locking mechanism to fit onto the trunnion to hold the container during emptying. The BG lifting device is the lifting device in which the collection system consists of a pair of arms with an adapter that fit onto BG receivers and locks to hold the container during emptying. The term functional and safety dimension refers to the essential dimensions of the container that ensure its functionality and interchangeability with the compatible lifting device and that are necessary for the safety and health of the operator.
This standard defines two classes of containers:
The following volumes are defined within these two container classes: 750 L, 1.000 L, 1.300 L, 1.400 L, 1.500 L, 1.600 L and 1.700 L. Nominal volumes other than those referenced may be used by agreement between the user and the manufacturer.
Our organization, among the numerous test, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies it has given for businesses in various sectors, with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment, between the mobile waste and recycling containers within the scope of EN 840-4 standard, large trunnion or BG and / or wide It also provides testing services for the dimensions and design of flat-lid 1.700-wheel containers with a capacity of up to 4 L for card lifters.
