Flue Gas Fixed Source Emissions - Determination of Mass Concentration of Each Gaseous Organic Compound (TSE CEN/TS 13649)

Flue Gas Fixed Source Emissions - Determination of Mass Concentration of Each Gaseous Organic Compound (TSE CEN/TS 13649)

The CEN/TS 13649 standard, designed by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), provides procedures for sampling, preparation and analysis of individual volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in waste gas, such as those originating from solvents. This standard is for the determination of the mass concentration of individual gaseous organic compounds within the framework of fixed source emissions and describes first the sorptive sampling method followed by the solvent extraction or thermal desorption method.

The mentioned standard has also been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) with the following title: TSE CEN/TS 13649 Fixed source emissions - Determination of the mass concentration of each gaseous organic compound - Solvent extraction or sorptive sampling method followed by thermal.

Sampling takes place by adsorption on sorbents, preparation by solvent extraction or thermodesorption and analysis by gas chromatography. The results obtained are expressed as the mass concentration (mg/m3) of the individual gaseous organic compounds.

This standard is suitable for measuring individual VOCs whose ranges vary depending on the compound and test method.

In the testing, analysis, measurement, and evaluation studies carried out at our organization, national and international standards and current legal regulations are adhered to, and reliable and impartial results are obtained. These studies are based on state-of-the-art technological equipment, a trained and experienced staff, and modern methods. Among the numerous tests conducted within this scope are the determination of the mass concentration of each gaseous organic compound within the framework of flue gas stationary source emissions (TSE CEN/TS 13649).
