The EN 13284-1 standard, a European standard, provides a standard reference method for the measurement of low dust concentration in ducted gas streams at concentrations below 50 mg/m3 at standard conditions. This standard was developed and validated primarily for gaseous streams from waste incinerators. More generally, it is applicable to gases emitted from other stationary sources and to higher concentrations. If the gases contain unstable, reactive or semi-volatile substances, the measurement depends on the sampling and filter processing conditions. This method has been validated in field tests with particular attention to dust concentrations around 5 mg/m3.

The mentioned standard has also been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) with the following title: TS EN 13284-1 Fixed source emissions - Determination of the mass concentration of dust in the low range - Part 1: Manual gravimetric method.
While determining the low-range mass concentration of the dust, choosing the filter to be sampled, conditioning this filter, determining the sampling plane, determining the sampling points on this plane, taking the witness sample, sample recovery and filter weighing are important steps.
In the testing, analysis, measurement, and evaluation studies carried out at our organization, national and international standards and current legal regulations are adhered to, and reliable and impartial results are obtained. These studies are based on state-of-the-art technological equipment, a trained and experienced staff, and modern methods. Among the numerous tests conducted within this scope, services include the determination of the mass concentration of dust in the low range (<50 mg/m3) (TS EN 13284-1) within the framework of flue gas stationary source emissions.
