The EPA 3620 C method, developed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is used to separate analytes from interfering compounds before sample analysis by a chromatographic method. Essentially, fluorisil is a magnesium silicate with basic properties. The full name of this test method is: SW-846 test method 3620C Fluorisil purging.

In this test method, florisil is used to remove pesticide residues and other chlorinated hydrocarbons. Florisil is also used in similar applications, such as the separation of nitrogen compounds from hydrocarbons, the separation of aromatic compounds from aliphatic-aromatic mixtures, and use with fats, oils and waxes. In addition, florisil is considered suitable for separations with steroids, esters, ketones, glycerides, alkaloids and some carbohydrates.
Florisil purification is accomplished using a florisil-packed glass chromatographic column or using solid-phase extraction cartridges containing florisil.
The EPA 3620 C method includes procedures for cleaning sample extracts containing the following analyte groups: phthalate esters, nitrosamines, nitroaromatics, haloethers, aniline and aniline derivatives, chlorinated hydrocarbons, organochlorine pesticides, organophosphates, organophosphorus pesticides, and polychlorinated biphenyls.
In the test, analysis, measurement and evaluation studies carried out in our organization, national and international standards and applicable legal regulations are complied with and reliable and impartial results are obtained. These studies are based on the latest technological equipment, trained and experienced staff and modern methods. Among the numerous tests carried out in this context, there are also florisil cleaning (EPA 3620 C method) services.
