Flue Gas Fixed Source Emissions

Flue Gas Fixed Source Emissions

To calculate the mass release of polluting emissions, it is necessary to know the flue gas flow rate. For example, to find the mass release rate of nitrogen oxides (NOx) in mg/s, the flue gas flow rate (m3/s) is multiplied by the pollutant concentration (mg/m3). This information is required for emissions trading, compliance or inventory reporting, or air quality modeling purposes.

The EN ISO 2013 standard for flue gas flow rate measurement was published by the International Standards Organization (ISO) in 16911. This standard has also been published by TSE in our country with the following title: TS EN ISO 16911 Fixed source emissions - Manual and automatic determination of velocity and flow in channels. The first part of the standard describes the manual reference method, and the second part describes the automatic measuring systems.

Part one of the standard defines manual standard reference methods to be used for calibration of continuous bulk flow monitors and for other compliance purposes such as periodic testing. The second part applies to continuous monitoring and specifies requirements for certification, calibration and ongoing control of continuous flow monitors.

In the testing, analysis, measurement, and evaluation studies conducted at our organization, national and international standards and current legal regulations are adhered to, and reliable and impartial results are obtained. These studies are based on state-of-the-art technological equipment, a trained and experienced staff, and modern methods. Among the numerous tests conducted within this scope are flue gas stationary source emission services.
