Determination of PM 10 Fraction of Immission (Ambient Air) Suspended Particulate Matter (EPA 40 CFR 50 App JM Method)

Determination of PM 10 Fraction of Immission (Ambient Air) Suspended Particulate Matter (EPA 40 CFR 50 App JM Method)

The EPA 40 method, developed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), regulates the criteria for environmental protection. The two main applications of this arrangement are:

Determination of PM 10 Fraction of Immission (Ambient Air) Suspended Particulate Matter (EPA 40 CFR 50 App JM Method)

  • Chapter 50 National primary and secondary ambient air quality standards
  • Section 51 Requirements for the preparation, acceptance and submission of implementation plans

Method 40 is the chapter of the EPA that deals with its mission to protect human health and the environment. Two important appendices of this regulation refer to the above practices:

  • 40 CFR Annex J (Part 50) Reference method for the determination of particulate matter as PM10 in the atmosphere
  • 40 CFR Annex M (Section 51) Recommended test methods for state implementation plans

The method described in Annex J enables the mass concentration of particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter less than or equal to 10 micrometers to be measured in ambient air over a 24-hour period.

Appendix M presents various test methods for measuring air pollution from an emission source.

In the test, analysis, measurement and evaluation studies carried out in our organization, national and international standards and applicable legal regulations are complied with and reliable and impartial results are obtained. These studies are based on the latest technological equipment, trained and experienced staff and modern methods. Among the numerous tests carried out in this context, there are also services for the determination of the PM 10 fraction of immission (environmental air) suspended particulate matter (EPA 40 CFR 50 App JM method).
