The AECTP 200 standard, published within the framework of NATO, Allied Environmental Conditions and Test Publications (AECTP), defines environmental conditions and data compiled from sources located in NATO countries. Where possible, the potentially damaging effects of these conditions on defensive material are also described. This standard also offers recommendations on the selection of appropriate test methods. For mechanical conditions, guidance is also given on determining and verifying environmental test severity from actual measured data.

The AECTP 200 standard is one of the five documents in the STANAG 4370 standard, which is a NATO standardization agreement and published among the STANAG standards, which includes the military standards of NATO member countries. The AECTP 200 standard provides specifications and data on environmental conditions for operational events and scenarios that affect the design of defense material. While it is impractical to provide data to cover all conditions, this standard is considered to cover the most relevant environmental conditions. The AECTP 200 standard is used together with the other four standards in the STANAG 4370 standard:
An important application of the AECTP 200 standard is for users to verify that key environmental conditions in project-specific environmental requirements documents are correctly addressed.
The environmental conditions of the AECTP 200 standard are regulated under the following subheadings:
In short, the purpose of the AECTP 200 standard is to provide specifications and data on climatic, mechanical and electrical/electromagnetic environments, as well as to provide guidance on the application of the data.
This standard does not address environments resulting from accidents, hostile conditions, or nuclear impacts. The specifications and data contained in this standard are used in the preparation of national requirements documents for defense materials supplied to NATO forces.
Our organization also provides testing services for environmental conditions within the scope of the AECTP 200 standard, with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment, among the numerous test, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies it provides for businesses in various sectors.
