We help you increase product reliability and customer confidence with highly accelerated life testing.

Accelerated Life Test (HALT)

The HALT technique uses a combination of accelerated stresses to reveal product defects at the beginning of the design and manufacturing stages, which increases product reliability and customer confidence during the design and production process of a new product, as well as to find production defects during the manufacturing phase.

A typical progression of HALT is as follows: Cold Thermal Step Stress, Hot Thermal Step Stress, Rapid Thermal Shock Stress, Vibration Step Stress, then Combined Thermal and Vibration Stress.

The HALT test is primarily used at the product design stage to reveal any defects and to make the product more robust and reliable. By emphasizing the product beyond the design specification, operational and disposal limits can be set and decided how to increase these margins. Each weak link provides an opportunity to improve design or processes, which reduces design time, increases reliability, and lowers costs.

EUROLAB's product reliability experts can customize HALT programs from scratch. In addition, HALT can offer complete turnkey in-house solutions including CAD test fixture designs, material supply and machining services.

EUROLAB, with its highly expert team and internationally accredited laboratories, Accelerated Life Test (HALT) It performs all test, analysis, measurement, evaluation and report generation services completely and reliably.
