The ISO 29463-3 standard published by the International Standards Organization (ISO) defines a test method for determining the efficiency of flat sheet filter media. This standard is intended for use with other parts of the series.

Essentially, the ISO 29463 standard consists of the following subsections under the main heading "High efficiency filters and filter media to remove particles in the air":
In the ISO 29463-1 standard, a classification of filters is created based on their performance determined according to sections three, four and five. This standard also provides an overview of test procedures and describes requirements for evaluating and marking filters and documenting test results.
The ISO 29463-2 standard describes aerosol generation and measurement equipment used to test high efficiency filters and filter media, as well as the statistical basis for particle counting, according to sections three, four and five.
In the ISO 29463-4 standard, the test procedure of the scanning method, which is accepted as the reference method for determining the leakage of filter elements, is defined. This standard applies to filters ranging from ISO 35 H to ISO 75 U classes.
ISO 29463-5 describes a reference test procedure for determining the efficiency of filters at the maximum penetrating particle size. This standard also includes guidance for testing and classification of filters with a maximum penetrating particle size of less than 0,1 μm and filters using synthetic fiber media.
All parts of the ISO 29463 standard are intended to be used in conjunction with other parts of the series.
Among the numerous test, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies it provides for businesses in various sectors, our organization also provides testing services of flat layer filter media to remove particles in the air, within the scope of ISO 29463-3 standard, with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment.
