Ingress Protection Test

Ingress Protection Test

Ingress Protection (Ingress Protection or Leak Test) helps you evaluate the dust and water resistance of your products.

Ingress Protection Test

The Ingress Protection (Ingress Protection or Leakage) test evaluates the resistance to particle and fluid ingress for a closed product. Once tested, the product receives an IP rating based on IEC 60529 based on achieved resistance to solid particles and liquids.

For IP testing, we have the ability to evaluate your product for dust and water resistance according to the IEC 60529 standard. To comply with common standards or NEMA classifications, products must demonstrate an acceptable level of ingress protection. IP ratings are also often required by vendors or retailers before a product is purchased from manufacturers and resold to consumers, regardless of the product's purpose of protection against dust or water.

Whether it's validating advertising claims, providing IP ratings for retailers, or testing intrusion protection against industry requirements, EUROLAB can provide all relevant testing and evaluations from a single-source laboratory. As the world's first NRTL, our seal of approval gives customers, retailers and regulators confidence that the product in question meets advertised claims and performs as intended.

We can provide complete dust entry into dust circulation chambers and entrance tests with different foreign bodies and different standard access probes.

EUROLAB, environmental simulation laboratories can provide IP testing to specifications including RTCA-DO-160 (aerospace), MIL-STDs (military), IEC 60259 and NEMA 250 (electronics), and DIN and SAE standards (automotive).

EUROLABhas been certifying various products for dust and water manufacturers and enclosures of panel shops (IP Code) for ingress protection for many years.
