In the ISO 4135 standard, developed by the International Standards Organization (ISO), the terms and definitions related to anesthetic, respiratory and reanimation equipment are explained. This standard has been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) with the following title: TS 6781 EN ISO 4135 Anesthesia and respiratory equipment - Terms and definitions.

The Word provides a glossary of definitions and expressions used in connection with international standard, anesthetic and respiratory equipment and supplies, related devices and feeding systems. This standard is based on ISO / TC 121 Anesthesia and respiratory equipment and ISO / TC 215 Health information standards. If the definitions or statements relate to several categories, a repetition policy has been adopted. When the definition varies by context, the term is cross-referenced.
The ISO / TC 121 standard has been prepared for the standardization of anesthetic and respiratory devices and materials, related devices and feeding systems. The ISO / TC 215 standard has been prepared to facilitate the capture, exchange and use of health-related data and information in order to support and activate all aspects of the healthcare system and standardization in the field of health informatics.
Of the three official ISO languages, in addition to the terms and definitions used in English and French, this international standard also gives equivalent terms in German. These are published under the responsibility of German official institutions. However, only terms and definitions given in official languages are accepted as ISO terms and definitions.
As technology continuously advances, medical devices and equipment also evolve, and new concepts emerge over time. In this respect, speaking the same language is crucial for anesthesia and respiratory equipment.
Our organization also provides testing services for anesthetic and respiratory equipment within the scope of ISO 4135 standard within the scope of laboratory services.
