This standard has been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) with the following title: TS EN ISO 11197 Feeding units for medical environments.
This standard applies to the basic safety and essential performance of medical supply units considered as medical equipment . This standard covers all types of medical supply units, whether manufactured in a factory or assembled on-site, including cabinets and other enclosures containing patient care services. A company that assembles various components designed for patient care services into an enclosure is considered a manufacturer of medical supply units.
Hazards in the intended function of medical devices or medical systems covered by this international standard are not covered by certain requirements in the IEC 60601-1 standard.
