TS EN 794-3 + A2 Lung Ventilators - Part 3: Specific Features for Emergency Use and Patient Transport Ventilators

The TS EN 794-3 standard, developed by the British Standards Institute (BSI), describes the basic safety and performance characteristics and test methods for respiratory devices (ventilators) used in emergency and patient transport. This standard has been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) with the following title: TS EN 794-3 + A2 Lung ventilators - Part 3: Specific features for emergency use and patient transport ventilators.

TS EN 794-3 + A2 Lung Ventilators - Part 3: Specific Features for Emergency Use and Patient Transport Ventilators

This standard covers respirators driven by a power source and intended for emergency and patient transport use. This standard covers a range of devices, from relatively simple respirators designed primarily to use with a face mask and for limited periods, for example gas-powered respirators, to devices intended for longer use. It generally includes gas-powered resuscitators (heart massage equipment) used by first aid teams. TS EN 794-3 standard does not include operator-operated ventilators, ie manual resuscitators. Respirator equipment on board is expected to be subject to additional requirements and national and international regulations. The EN 794-1 standard covers lung ventilators for critical care, while the EN 794-2 standard covers home care ventilators.

Emergency use and patient transport ventilators (breathing devices) are specially designed for first aid in emergency services and ambulances, for adults, children and newborns. This equipment provides controlled or auxiliary ventilation and the positive pressure output can be adjusted. In general, trigger sensitivity and adjustable oxygen concentration are controlled.

Our organization also provides basic safety and performance testing services for emergency and patient transport devices (ventilators) according to TS EN 794-3 , as part of our laboratory services to businesses .
