TS EN 13976-1 Rescue Systems - Transport of Incubators - Part 1: Interface Requirements

In the European standard EN 13976-1, the transportation conditions, basic safety and performance characteristics and test methods of incubators, which are among the rescue systems, are described. This standard has been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) with the following title: TS EN 13976-1 Rescue systems - Transport of incubators - Part 1: Interface requirements.

TS EN 13976-1 Rescue Systems - Transport of Incubators - Part 1: Interface Requirements

The aforementioned standard specifies the requirements of the interface between the ambulance and incubator and the related equipment required for the care and treatment of babies, their interchangeability and interoperability, and safety features that will enable them to be used in emergency or planned transport to ensure uninterrupted care of babies. This standard does not describe requirements for vehicles and devices. These requirements are contained in other relevant standards. However, transport incubators are normally combined with other equipment to form a transport incubator system.

Incubators are closed equipment in which premature or unusually small babies are placed and provide a protective environment for their care.

Transportation of fragile and vulnerable patients, such as newborns, always carries a risk of stress. To provide a safe and stable transport environment for these small patients and to minimize external influences, this European standard performs an important function. The smallest patients often present enormous medical difficulties, and this is particularly important in transplantation procedures. Transport operations are both medically and logistically difficult and risky. The EN 13976-1 standard describes the basic safety and performance conditions and test methods of these incubators in the transportation of incubators from rescue systems.

Our organization also provides businesses with laboratory services, including information on the transport conditions, basic safety and performance characteristics, and testing services for incubators, which are part of the EN 13976-1 recovery systems.
