The 10524-2 standard, developed by the International Standards Organization (ISO), describes the properties and test methods of manifold and line pressure regulators used with medical gases. This standard has also been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) with the following title: TS EN ISO 10524-2 Pressure regulators for use with medical gases - Part 2: Manifold and line pressure regulators.

This standard describes the design, manufacture, type testing and marking requirements for manifold pressure regulators and line pressure regulators designed for use in medical gas pipeline systems. Gas samples include oxygen, medical air, and mixtures of oxygen and nitrous oxide.
This standard covers manifold pressure regulators and line pressure regulators supplied as individual units or related components included in an assembly. Manifold pressure regulators are intended to be connected to a manifold system with a nominal inlet pressure of up to 300 bar. Line pressure regulators are intended to be connected downstream of the manifold pressure regulator with a supply pressure of up to 30 bar.
The ISO 10524-2 standard does not apply to pressure regulators used in vacuum pipeline systems. Requirements for pressure regulators for use with vacuum pipeline systems are contained in the ISO 10079‑3 standard.
This standard specifically focuses on:
Several standards that are normatively referenced in the application of the ISO 10524-2 standard include: ISO 32, ISO 407, ISO 7000, ISO 7396-1, ISO 10297, ISO 14971, ISO 15001, EN 837-1 and IEC 60601-1.
Within the scope of laboratory services, our organization also provides testing services for manifold and pressure regulators used with 10524-2 medical gases.
