The EN 16615 standard, a European standard, describes the minimum requirements for the bactericidal and yeasticidal activity of chemical disinfectant products, which when diluted with hard water or, in the case of ready-to-use products, form a homogeneous and physically stable preparation.

This standard applies to products used in the medical field for wiping disinfection of non-porous surfaces, including medical device surfaces. This standard covers ready-to-use wipes impregnated with a germicidal solution. This standard applies to areas and situations where disinfection is medically indicated. For example, in hospitals, healthcare facilities, dentistry, school clinics, kindergartens and nursing homes and workplaces.
This standard has also been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) with the following title: TS EN 16615 Chemical disinfectants and antiseptics - Quantitative test method for the evaluation of bactericidal and fermentation activity on non-porous surfaces with the help of a tissue used by applying mechanical action in the field of medicine (4- Field test) - Test method and properties (phase 2, step 2).
The application of disinfectant wipes to surfaces close to the patient is under increasing scrutiny. However, until the publication of the EN 16615 standard, no specific efficacy testing was conducted for such wipes.
In the test, analysis, measurement and evaluation studies carried out in our organization, national and international standards and applicable legal regulations are complied with and reliable and impartial results are obtained. Among the numerous tests carried out in this context, there are also EN 16615 standard testing services.
