Krypton is a colorless and odorless gas. It does not react with anything other than fluorine gas. Krypton is used commercially as a fill gas for energy-saving fluorescent lamps. It is also used in some flash lamps used for high speed photography.

Unlike lighter gases in the same group, krypton is reactive enough to form some chemical compounds. For example, krypton reacts with fluorine to form krypton fluoride. Krypton fluoride is used in some lasers.
Radioactive krypton was used to estimate Russian nuclear production during the cold war. Gas is a product of all nuclear reactors, so the Russian share is found by subtracting the amount from western reactors from the airborne total.
For some time the isotope krypton-86 was used to describe the standard measure of length.
Krypton is one of the rarest gases found in the earth's atmosphere. It makes up only 1 part per million by volume. It is extracted by distillation of chilled air until it becomes liquid.
Krypton was first discovered while working on liquefied air. After the more volatile components of the liquid air boiled off, a small amount of liquid krypton was left behind. The high cost of obtaining krypton from the air has limited its practical applications.
In the tests and analyzes carried out in our organization, which has a wide range of technological equipment, trained and experienced staff and applies the most modern methods, national and international standards and legal regulations in force are complied with. Among the numerous tests carried out in this context, there are also krypton (Kr) testing services within the framework of elemental analysis.
