Elemental Analysis - Molybdenum (Mo)

Molybdenum is an important trace mineral. It is found in foods such as milk, cheese, cereals, legumes, nuts, leafy vegetables, and offal. In terms of health, molybdenum is most often used for molybdenum deficiency. Molybdenum is also used for esophageal cancer, other types of cancer, Wilson's disease, and other conditions, but there is no scientific evidence yet to support these uses. Molybdenum works in the body to break down proteins and other substances. It has an important role in normal body functions, but there is not enough information about it.

Elemental Analysis - Molybdenum (Mo)

Molybdenum is a ductile and highly corrosion resistant metal. It has one of the highest melting points of all the pure elements. Molybdenum is also an essential micronutrient for life.

Molybdenum readily forms compounds with other elements. Molybdenum is not found free in nature. The main molybdenum ore is molybdenite. It is recovered as a by-product of copper or tungsten mining.

Most commercial molybdenum is used in the manufacture of alloys to which it is added to increase hardness, strength, electrical conductivity, and resistance to wear and corrosion. Small amounts of molybdenum are found in various products such as missiles, engine parts, drills, saw blades, electric heater filaments, lubricant additives, ink for circuit boards, and protective coatings on boilers.

In the tests and analyzes carried out in our institution, which has a wide range of technological equipment, trained and experienced staff and applies the most modern methods, national and international standards and legal regulations in force are complied with. Among the numerous tests carried out in this context, there are molybdenum (Mo) testing services within the framework of elemental analysis.
