Neodymium is a silvery-white metal. It darkens quickly in air. The most important use for neodymium is as an alloy containing iron and boron to make very strong permanent magnets. Neodymium has made it possible to shrink many electronic devices, including cell phones, microphones, speakers, and electronic musical instruments. These magnets are also used in automobile windshield wipers and wind turbines.

Neodymium is a special glass for glasses used during glass blowing and welding. It colors the glass in shades of purple, wine red and gray. Neodymium is also used in the glass of tanning booths, as it transmits UV rays but not infrared rays.
Also, neodymium glass is used to make lasers. They are used as laser pointers, in eye surgery, in cosmetic surgery, and in the treatment of skin cancers.
Neodymium is moderately toxic and irritating to the eyes.
The main sources of most of the lanthanide elements are the minerals monazite and bastnaesite. Neodymium is extracted from these minerals by ion exchange and solvent extraction. The element can also be obtained by reducing anhydrous neodymium chloride or fluoride with calcium.
In the tests and analyzes carried out in our organization, which has a wide range of technological equipment, trained and experienced staff and applies the most modern methods, national and international standards and legal regulations in force are complied with. Among the numerous tests carried out in this context, there are also neodymium (Nd) testing services within the framework of element analysis.
