Rubidium is a silvery-white and very soft metal and is one of the most highly reactive elements in the periodic table. Rubidium is a soft metal that ignites in air and reacts violently with water. It is rarely used commercially except for scientific research. As a component of photocells, it is used to remove traces of oxygen from vacuum tubes and to make special types of glasses.

It was considered for use in ion engines because it ionizes easily, but proved to be less effective than cesium. It has also been proposed for use as a working fluid for steam turbines and in thermoelectric generators. Rubidium nitrate is sometimes used in fireworks to give them a purple color.
Rubidium has no known biological role and is non-toxic. However, due to its chemical similarity to potassium, it is consumed with food and accumulates about half a gram in the average human body.
Rubidium is slightly radioactive and is therefore used to locate brain tumors as it is collected in tumors and not in normal tissue.
Rubidium is commercially recovered as a byproduct of lithium extraction from lepidolite. Potassium minerals and brines also contain rubidium and are another commercial source.
In the tests and analyzes carried out in our organization, which has a wide range of technological equipment, trained and experienced staff and applies the most modern methods, national and international standards and legal regulations in force are complied with. Among the numerous tests carried out in this context, there are also rubidium (Rb) testing services within the framework of elemental analysis.
