AIRIC is a professional wire terminal manufacturer. We develop reliable solutions for various electrical wiring connectors, terminals, cable lugs, crimping tools and similar equipment. Most of AIRIC terminals are UL approved and used in a wide range of industrial, automotive, marine and home project applications.

The “AIRIC-ACU-EMC-01 EMC qualification plan” standard designed by this company describes all electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) test methods required to qualify a product according to international standards.
According to this standard, it is mandatory to determine the details of the qualification program together with the EMC responsible for each project. It is decided together which test levels are required, which test sequence is required and whether other tests will be performed. This standard also provides important support for the needs of EMC test software.
The minimum number of test cases used in these tests is 2 for each hardware variant.
According to this standard, the test conditions are as follows:
Line impedance stabilization network: The distance between the power return line and the vehicle chassis ground is longer than 200 mm, measurements are made with the device under test remotely grounded. Some electronics are mounted in a metallic enclosure. Chassis ground refers to a ground connection that connects all metal parts to ground. A few examples of chassis grounds are the metallic body of a vehicle if it is safely grounded to earth.
The table provided in the standard includes the international standards used in this standard. Any deviations are explained in each section.
When testing, the device under test is placed on insulating material (styrodur). If the test method does not require another connection, the metallic base plate must be connected to chassis grounding. The test setup is mandatory for antenna tests. The test setup must be 1700 + 300 mm and placed on a non-conductive material. The test setup for antenna measurements and the test setup for universal use are shown in the figures given in the standard.
All identified variants as test samples must be included in the qualification program without the need to order.
When performing the test, it should be explained which signals or functions are monitored or stimulated on the device under test and how they are monitored.
In emissions testing, a fast Fourier transform method is used to speed up measurements. The receiver method is also acceptable. The emissions of the device under test should be below the detector limits.
In immunity testing, electromagnetic waves from both fixed and mobile transmitters introduce high-frequency interference voltages into the cable bundles. These interference voltages can lead to functional failures of electronic units and systems.
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing measures the ability of equipment or systems to function satisfactorily in an electromagnetic environment without introducing intolerable electromagnetic disturbance into anything in that environment.
