The EN 15194 standard, a European standard, applies to EPAC bicycles for private and commercial use, with the exception of EPAC intended for rental from the unattended station. This standard is intended to cover all common significant hazards, hazardous situations and incidents of electric powered bicycles when used as intended and under conditions of misuse reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer.

This standard is intended to cover electric-assisted bicycles with a maximum continuous rated power of 0,25 kW, whose output is gradually reduced, and finally cut off when the EPAC reaches 25 km/h or close to it when the cyclist stops pedaling.
The EN 15194 standard covers the requirements and test methods for motor power management systems, electrical circuits including charging systems for the design and assembly of electrically assisted bicycles, and sub-assemblies for systems with a rated voltage of up to 48 Volts direct current or integrated battery charger systems with 230 Volts alternating current input.
This standard specifies safety-related performance requirements for the design, assembly and testing of EPAC bicycles and subassemblies intended for use on public roads, and provides guidelines for instructions on the use and maintenance of such bicycles.
This standard applies to EPAC bicycles with a maximum seat height of 635 mm or more and intended for use on public roads. However, this standard does not apply to EPACs produced before the date of publication.
For the purposes of this standard,
Among the numerous test, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies it provides for businesses in various sectors, our organization also provides testing services for electric assisted cycles and EPAC bicycles, within the scope of EN 15194 standard, with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment.
