This standard describes the requirements for insulation monitoring devices (IMD) that permanently monitor the grounding resistance RF in circuits with rated voltages up to 1000 Volts AC, as well as in ungrounded IT DC systems with voltages up to 1500 Volts DC, regardless of the measuring principle.
  • IEC 61557-9 Part 9: Equipment for the location of insulation fault in IT systems. This standard describes the requirements for an insulation fault location system that localizes insulation faults in any part of the system in circuits with rated voltages up to 1000 Volts AC, as well as in ungrounded IT DC systems with voltages up to 1500 Volts DC, regardless of the measuring principle.
  • IEC 61557-10 Part 10: Combined measuring equipment for testing, measuring and monitoring protective measures. This standard describes the requirements for a single apparatus, various measuring functions or combined measuring equipment that combines testing, measuring or monitoring methods. This standard should be read together with the first part.
  • IEC 61557-11 Part 11: Efficiency of residual current monitors (RCM) in TT, TN and IT systems. This standard describes the test equipment requirements for testing the effectiveness of residual current monitors (RCMs) already installed in distribution systems. This test equipment can be used in any network such as TN, TT or IT system. The test equipment can also be used to test directional discriminant residual current monitors in IT systems. It is not the purpose of this standard to verify residual current monitors against product standards.
  • IEC 61557-12 Part 12: Power measuring and monitoring devices (PMD). This standard describes the requirements for power measuring and monitoring devices that measure and monitor electrical quantities and optionally other external signals in electrical distribution systems. These requirements also define performance in single and three-phase AC or DC systems with rated voltages up to 1000 Volts AC or 1500 Volts DC. These devices are fixed or portable and are designed for indoor or outdoor use. Power measuring and monitoring devices for the electrical parameters described in this standard are used for general industrial and commercial applications. This standard does not address functional security and cybersecurity issues.
  • IEC 61557-13 Part 13: Hand-held and hand-operated current clamps and sensors for the measurement of leakage currents in electrical distribution systems. This standard specifies performance for hand-held and hand-held current clamps and sensors for the measurement of leakage currents in electrical distribution systems, up to and including 1000 Volts AC and 1500 Volts DC, taking into account the influence of high external low-frequency magnetic fields and other influencing quantities. requirements are explained.
  • IEC 61557-14 Part 14: Equipment for testing the safety of electrical equipment for machinery. This standard describes specific requirements for test and measurement equipment used to determine the electrical safety of machine electrical equipment. The IEC 61010 and IEC 61557 series standards do not cover all safety aspects of testing machine electrical equipment. This standard provides additional protection against electric shock for the tester and bystanders during high voltage tests and in case of misuse of test equipment.
  • IEC 61557-15 Part 15: Functional safety requirements for insulation monitoring devices in IT systems and hardware for insulation fault location in IT systems. This standard describes requirements for functional safety.
