The ETSI EN 301 489-1 standard describes measurement methods and technical specifications for radio equipment and related auxiliary equipment, excluding broadcast receivers, regarding electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Technical specifications relating to emissions from the antenna port of radio equipment and the housing port of radio equipment, and to combinations of radio and auxiliary equipment, are not included in this standard. Such technical specifications are normally found in relevant product standards for the efficient use of the radio spectrum. The relationship between this standard and the essential requirements of Directive 2014/53/EU published in European Union countries is given in the annex to the standard.

Among the numerous tests, measurements, analyses, and evaluations our organization provides for businesses in various sectors, we also offer electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing services for radio equipment and services in accordance with the ETSI EN 301 489 standard, thanks to our trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment.
