Hydrostatic Pressure Test

Hydrostatic Pressure Test

Hydrostatic pressure testing evaluates a material's resistance to the penetration of water. Products such as aprons, curtains and barrier fabrics must be subjected to this testing by AAMI PB70 and EN 13795. This test is also used for 510(k) submissions to the FDA. All tests meet the criteria specified in AATCC 127, ISO 811, AAMI PB70 and EN 13795. EUROLABIt can perform all required tests listed in AAMI PB70 and EN 13795.

Hydrostatic Pressure Test

Applicable Standards

  • AATCC 127
  • AAMI PB70
  • EN 13795
  • ISO 811

Sample Features

  • HPT110: 32 samples recommended for FDA submission, Minimum 5 samples recommended. Each sample must be a minimum of 8 x 8 inches (203 x 203 mm)

The Hydrostatic Pressure test specimen is clamped to the hydrostatic head tester (FX3000) and the pressure is increased at the rate of 60 mbar per minute or 10 mbar per minute. The face side of the sample is directly facing the water and the reverse side is observed for liquid penetration. Record the hydrostatic pressure at which liquid penetration occurs in three regions of the sample.

  • If testing for compliance with AAMI PB70 and EN 13795, please find out about sampling details, areas to be tested and classification requirements.
  • If testing for compliance to ISO 811, please note what rate of increase is required (60 or 10 mbar).

EUROLAB, with its highly expert team and internationally accredited laboratories, Hydrostatic Pressure Test It performs all test, analysis, measurement, evaluation and report generation services completely and reliably.
