Forced degradation studies are used to describe reactions that can occur to degrade a processed product. Forced degradation, usually done before final formulation, uses external stresses to quickly scan material stabilities.

Forced degradation tests are performed by means of various stress agents such as pH, temperature, light, chemical agents (eg oxidizer) and mechanical stress to accelerate the chemical degradation, physical degradation or instability of a molecule. Forced degradation studies show the chemical behavior of the molecule, which helps to improve the formulation and package.
EUROLABuses force decay studies to characterize the method as a stability-indicating method. Stability determination methods are specifically designed to separate drug degraders from intact drug. Forced degradation studies are usually performed during the development phase of the stability determination method. Validation is done after development is completed.
In the force degradation study, samples are exposed to stress conditions: hydrolysis with acid and base, oxidation, photolytic using thermal and photo stability chamber using heat.
After the samples are exposed to each of the stress conditions for the specified time, the samples are tested for testing and purity and impurities calculated.
EUROLAB, with its highly expert team and internationally accredited laboratories, Forced Degradation Tests It performs all test, analysis, measurement, evaluation and report generation services completely and reliably.
